Kite making and flying is a traditional activity not being experienced by many children. Golden Valleys Lodge, with its open areas and sea breezes, is a paradise for kite flyers. Groups can elect to provide their own materials or purchase a kite making kit from camp. Professional kite makers are also prepared to conduct kite-making sessions for the campers.

Table Tennis is played in a room next to the recreation room. Table tennis bats are provided but groups are asked to supply their own balls.

Swimming, in our in-ground swimming pool, is available as a programmed activity or for recreation during free time. The swimming pool is only available during the summer months.

Trampoline is a recreational based activity heavily demanded during free time. The trampoline has an in ground bed and safety matting over the springs.

Beach Volleyball can be used all year round. It is a great social activity that brings people together and provides a lot of fun.

Basketball ring is available as a minor game that enables the participants to socialise and burn off a bit of steam.

Giant Chess and draughts are available during free time or as part of the group’s rotation. There is a permanent board located close to the volleyball court and trampoline. Golden Valleys Lodge provides the chess and draught pieces.

Our Rope Maze can be played by the individual or used as part of the team building activity. The participants are challenged as they weave through the intertwined rope maze.
